Here’s a translation of Nintendo Online Magazine’s interview with Toshiaki Suzuki, the director of Kirby Tilt ‘n’ Tumble. The original interview was probably uploaded around the launch of the game in Japan which was August 23, 2000. This one is pretty interesting because they talk about iterating on the hardware and how it all came together from the concept to the actual game.

Retro Game Shopping in Nagoya, Japan

Nagoya, Japan
That’s nice, but where are the games?

I’ve been going through the dreaded visa renewal process so I had to make a couple of trips to my nearest immigration office which means hoping on the train and going to Nagoya. Nagoya is Japan’s 4th largest city, but doesn’t really seem to have a claim to fame, at least as far as I can tell after some low effort Google searching. I think it’s actually a great place to make a day (or two) trip out of though so that’s what we did!
